The model adopted under HB2683 (now Public Act 99-193) allows local flexibility, promote shared accountability, and is sensitive to local district improvements.

Vision 20/20 evidence-based formula can help solve inequity in school funding
Senate Bill 1403, Senator Jason Barickman’s bill to start the process to implement an evidence-based funding formula for Illinois public schools, is still under consideration by the General Assembly during this spring session. Evidence-based funding is a key part of Vision 20/20’s Equitable and Adequate Funding pillar.
